In some VERY exciting news today SCD has been informed there is to be a Dota 2 tournament at the EB Games Expo this year! The tournament will involve a qualifier round held on the 21st of September 2013, with the top six (6) teams being invited to come compete for a bunch of prizes in Sydney, at EB Expo 2013 from the 4th until the 6th of October 2013.
Teams will then be split into two separate brackets, based upon seeding, and run dual single-elimination brackets side-by-side. From these two brackets the top three (3) teams from each will progress forward to the final six (6) teams at EB Expo.
The finals will be run in a double-elimination format that will be clarified in full detail following the qualifiers; finalist teams must note that they will be required to provide a copy of their ID and profile pictures. Details regarding these requirements will be sent to each qualifying team.
Entry to EB Expo will be 100% free, however qualifying teams will need to arrange their own transport and accommodation.
